Abhyanga ~ Ayurvedic Medicated Oil Massage

Abhyanga is an Ayurvedic Medicated oil massage, tailored per Doshic Constitution for detoxification, rejuvenation or pain reduction. Choreographed with specific strokes, 12 -16oz of warm medicinal oils are poured generously over the body, including coating of the crown of the head. Abhyanga is used to help regulate imbalances, encourage lymphatic drainage, promote relaxation, support deeper mind-body connection, improve blood circulation and eliminate impurities from the body.

* Tri-Doshic – your current Doshic state, Vikruti , will be discussed before treatment.

The Bliss Therapy ~ Combination of Abhyanga&Shirodhara

Experience the bliss of these therapies as you are guided into a deep state of rejuvenation. Your treatment begins with an inhalation experience made with essential oils for your Dosha, as your feet soak in a copper basin. Then your therapist will apply oil onto your scalp and hair for calming the mind and tuning into your body. Next, warm medicinal oils will be poured over you in a full body anointment. Experience your mind come to total stillness under the flow of medicinal oils crowning your head.

The treatment involves abhyanga (described above), and Shriodhara. Shirodhara is the methodical pouring of warm medicinal over the forehead in a slow downward stream, coating the crown of the head. This therapy synchronizes brain waves, calms the nervous system allowing the Parasympathetic Nervous System to activate. It improves the quality of rest, calms anxiety, reduces stress, supports and facilitates a meditative state of mind that creates deeper connection with one’s Third Eye Chakra.

*Highly recommended for Vata and Pitta Dosha, contraindicated for Kapha types who are experiencing Kapha imbalances; dull mind, stagnation (physically & mentally)

Udvartana ~ Detox of Lymphatic + Circulatory System

This is an excellent kapha treatment and vata types tonic for with nervous system imbalances. Pittas also benefit from udvartana during the late winter and early spring.

*Ideal for Vata & Kapha Dosha; circulatory imbalances, fatigue, dry skin, and stagnant tissue.
